CAMARILLO, Calif., August 19, 2014 — Gold Coast Health Plan (GCHP) has announced the resignation of Michael P. Engelhard as the Plan’s chief executive officer (CEO). Mr. Engelhard joined GCHP in September 2012.

Mr. Engelhard said, “It’s with mixed emotions that I resign my role as chief executive officer of Gold Coast Health Plan to pursue a new professional opportunity.  Over the last two years, I have worked diligently to help expand this organization’s mission to serve the most vulnerable members of our community.”

David Araujo, MD, chairman of the GCHP Commission said, “Mr. Engelhard has done a wonderful job of revitalizing the operational and financial health of Gold Coast Health Plan and has been instrumental in assembling a seasoned leadership team.” He added, “I think I speak for all of us when I say we’re sorry to see him leave.”

Mr. Engelhard’s last day will be Friday, September 19, 2014.
